03 F-150 grinding noise

Hi, new here, had this truck for about a year and a half now, never had a problem with it.

in the last month whenever i get down to a low speed say less than 10 or 15 mph i get a very noticeable grinding noise, It kinda changes tone a bit when i steer heavy to the left or right but still remains. I do have a significant build up of break dust on my front tires but I still stop just as well as i ever have with this truck. It grinds regardless of me slowing or speeding up.

I really know nothing about vehicles and i was hoping to get an opinion on here.

Maybe you have a little stone stuck in between your disk and the rotors. I had that problem a few months ago. It was hard to see the little stone. but it was there.

Re: 03 F-150 grinding noise

Your brake pads could be kaput and the grinding could be metal on metal or your description could also lead me to believe wheel bearing/ hub failure. hopefully tho it is just the stone as Rasp noted.
