Turn signal fun!

I have had turn signals inside my head light housing for a while. They were regular old marker bulbs, simply laying in the housing. When they flashed it lit the whole headlight assembly up. I thought once winter hits and there is no chance of me riding, I would tear it down and do it right.

......a nail in my rear tire cut this season short.

I had these clear LED lights for a while and thought they would fit perfect in the empty spot in the housing.
Four hours of screwing around getting everything apart, and nearly two hours of messing around cutting the glue that holds the headlight assembly together....I got one side done.
I was waiting for the glue to dry and put a battery pack on it and shot this crappy cell phone video of the done side...

I need to do the other side yet, then put everything back together, then by that time I should be pissed off enough to take it in and have the tire replaced.....

Re: Turn signal fun!

Thats cool, I like the "pornstar" mod too.

I FINALLY got the other housing seperated and the other side done today. I cleaned up the housing, but still waiting on that side to cure. I installed micro connecters at the outside of the housing so if I need to take the housing off, I can just unplug it. No problem.
I was about to start wiring the bike but found I didnt have all the terminals. I am using a pigtail plugged into the factory turn signal wiring. (I'm not cutting and splicing the bike harness)

Such as life. I wanted to add an LED to the center as well, I don't have the one I want so I have to wait anyway.

And as an added slap in the face, we had great weather and all kinds of bikes out today.

For anyone who cares....heres a clip of it together.
