96 Grand-Am Intrument cluster
I installed a instrument cluster after a dealer told me it was the reason it would not start. They said the anti-theft ran through the circuit board on the cluster. It still does not run. Do I need to reset the computer.

Re: 96 Grand-Am Intrument cluster
I am actully having the same problem. All my guages quit and i needed to replace the circuit board, i bought a cluster from a salvage yard and now the theft system is killing the car. I called my local GM dealer and they told me that i would have to bring them the car and have them program the theft system. I was also told by a friend that there is a way to program it with out having to take it to a dealership. I havent looked into it but when i do ill be glad to share what i find out.

Re: 96 Grand-Am Intrument cluster
Here is a follow up for my last reply. All the info i found was for a faulted igniton switch not for replacing the dash. If you want to look here is the website i found that had the most description.
http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/...03312&get=last Im still in the process of looking for the answer. |
