99 Premier gas smells and driver side window
I noticed the smell of gas coming from my van last week when the van was not running. During the last couple of days the smell has gotten stronger. There are no fuel spills on the ground but when I look under the hood there is film covering everything. No doubt it is a fuel leak. Any ideas how much it will cost to fix and what specifically is leaking.
Out of nowhere my driver side window doest roll down. I don't think it is a track problem. Any ideas on the cause and the cost to fix? |

Re: 99 Premier gas smells and driver side window
take the van to a gm dealer ship and get them to look at the fuel leak. (what some times happens is a micro size stone will fall into the switch and cause the electrical contacts to stay in the open pos). on mine i removed the switch and tapped and beat it till it started to work. here is a link : for the window switch http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbul...ghlight=window

How did you remove the switch? Did you take off the whole panel?

Smell could also be a ruptured diaphragm in the fuel pressure regulator diaphragm. Find it near the motor, where the 2 fuel lines come to it. The regulator regulates return fuel flow to the tank. |
