anti theft no start

have 01 sub, sometimes will not start,security ligt flashing,wait ten minutes and it starts,any one have this problem and a solution without spending $500 at he dealer for new ignition assembly

Pocket link, other types of finger/dirt/food 'jam' will change the impedance of the resistor on the key. Clean it with an old toothbrush NOT a wire brush, which could magnetize it!!!

I do not think this one has the pellet in key.

Which theft system does it have?

Has the dealer checked it out and pulled codes?
What are the code no in body computer?
Has anything been repaced on it?

Sometimes they need a relearn done on them.

i would re-program it and see what it does then.it could have forgotten the key. the owners manual has the steps in it...
