HELP: Installed battery on backwards

Hello everyone,

I have a major issue, due to myself being careless I installed my battery on backwards. I realized it was on backwards so I changed it to the correct way and when I went to start the car, it had trouble starting at first but started. I looked and not one light, radio, or anything worked in the car except for the headlights. I disconnected the battery and checked my fuses inside the car and they were not blown. So I tried to reconnect my battery and it would not start. A few days after I got my battery checked and it needed to be recharged, so I did. Put, it back on the car and still wont start. Can someone help! I live in Dallas and I will pay someone to come out and fix my car or please message me and guide me through this.
