Just installed new intake manifold gasket/84/2.8l

Just got everything back together. Was real careful with the distributor on removal and reinstallation. Took carb off and placed on work bench then re-installed. Fuel is getting to carb and it doesn't start. It does this whale thing where it will blow a fine mist of fuel in the air. Battery is wearing down. One thing though the powerbrake line off the intake manifold keeps blowing off. Hmmmmmmmm.......
