Pontiac GTO Pro Stock Toon

Hey, I have a couple days off work and felt the urge to sit at the drafting table. I came accross this photo from the races this summer and thought i would give it a go. Here it is.. still preliminary and quite rough...This is Dean Goforth's Pontiac GTO out of OK.

Hope you like it..

Re: Pontiac GTO Pro Stock Toon

Nice start, proportions seem a bit more the the realistic side than toony.
Cool action pose for the viewing angle.

Re: Pontiac GTO Pro Stock Toon

Color does bring it to life--very nice.

It could just be me, but it looks like the snorkle scoop is a bit off-centered to the right (driver's side) based on the placement of the stock factory hood scoops and the distance from the scoop to the left (passenger's side) fender top. (Factory scoops might need to move a little left too.)
Didn't notice this in the line art, but the color fills seems to make it stand out a bit.

I took another look at it as well after i read what you wrote. I agreed that it looked quite out of proportion. I adjusted it and think it looks better now.. i moved it around and lengthened the top of it as well.. think it looks ok now...??? thanks Blip..
