4L60E trans not shifting 2 or 4 gears

I have a S-10 with a junk yard trans I put in about 2 years ago. I lost the Overdrive one day and just kept driving it as is. Made a mistake and talked w/ a co-worker who told me to replace the High Pressure silonoid. I replace the filter, silonoid and fuild. Once I took the truck out on the road I noticed things and changed drasitily. I lost the ability to shift from 1,2,4 gears. I can manually go from 1st to 3rd with nothing showing up in 2 and 4. Check fluid levels and went back to the guy and he told me the change shift siloinods. I now just finished changing the shift silonoids with no change. What NOW????I need help before the snow flies and it gets too cold to drop trans pan.

Always do some proper testing before throwing parts at it.
What year and what engine?
Any codes or check engine lights?
