clutch problems? need help!!!!

so my clutch doesnt engage till about the very top of me releasing the clutch is this normal for a 3000gt or wat? do i need to just bleed it or do i need a new clutch or wat? i dont feel a loss in horsepower. sometimes the clutch slips but i bought a new clutch already but before i put it in i want to make sure i dont need to replace any other parts that may be causing this problem. so my main ? would be: is it normal for my clutch to engage almost at the top of the clutch release pedal or no? and if its not normal wat is causing the problem???

It might just need adjusted. You'll have to crawl under the dash and there is a locknut on the clutch pedal assembly. Loosen it then spin the rod. I cant remember which way will adjust it down but you will probably have to adjust it a few times to get it to a feel you like.
