Rebuid 98 VR4 tranny

Hey guys, it's been a long LONG while. Hope everyone has been doing good. My VR4 and I have been in hiding long enough and I'm ready to bite the bullet and have the much needed work done.

The problem is in the 2nd gear synchro. If it's going to be taken apart I want to go ahead and replace 1st and 3rd as well. Is anyone doing work or know of someone that would be willing to do the work that is trustworthy. Any information would be appreciated . . . I've been calling around Louisville, Ky and anyone I've found wants to rape me on the cost or refuses and says I need to go new. I would be willing to just buy a rebuild if it's got some type of warranty behind it . . .

Thanks for whatever information you can drop me

I'm about 9 hours from Charolette. Not too worried about distance, I'm willing to ship if I find someone who is reliable.

couldn't you rip a tranny out of a 3000 at a junk yard and fix it from there?

Re: Rebuid 98 VR4 tranny

well if the trip isn't of concern, 3sx is a lil outside of charlotte. but last time i was at the shop, they're hmm, somewhat packed, so calling first to get a time estimate and appointment would be best.
