Re: replacing rear wheel bearings
On my '93 it was a simple matter to reach through with a punch from the opposite side and tap them out. They didn't seem to be terribly tight in the bores.

Re: replacing rear wheel bearings
I have replaced mine a couple of times and machined a round bushing to press out the old bearing and press in the new one. Beating out the old bearing is not a big problem but you do not want to damage the new bearing. Brute force is really not the solution.

Re: replacing rear wheel bearings
yeah its all done now. i used an old huge socket to bang them into place taking care to stay on the outer metal ring and not to hit the seal which can be crushed. all and all not a hard job as i thought it would be. harder job is trying to find source of oil leak on this damn car.
