Sub not working
I have an '04 Silverado and the other day I came home and everything was fine. Then about 30 minutes later I went to leave and only to find out that I didn't have any bass at all. I have checked the fuse for the amp (under the hood) and it looks fine. Everything is plugged in under the console too.
Someone please help me...I feel like I'm in a 1980's car with the paper speakers. Thanks |

as most vehicle owners know these OEM speakers suck...they are very low quality.. get a meter and measure for resistance across the speaker terminals if open no resistance get a high quality replacement of the same resistance that the old speaker was supposed to have ...4-16 ohm range.. |

Re: Sub not working
I forgot to mention these are the Bose speakers. I get sound from my speakers but it's only mids and highs.
Thanks |

On a vehicle that this is in,,, even the bose speakers will have a speaker coil open....the bass speaker has a large amount of current flowing thru it... this can cause the coil to melt out and as a result damage the output power module.. so make sure the speaker is good then replace amp..if necessary.. |

Re: Sub not working
Is the amp showing that it is getting power? Or showing if it's in protection stage?
