Strange CD problem

I have a 2005 cavalier and I have been having a weird problem with my cd player. That is, when I burn a cd, with all of the songs being on mp3 format, the cd player on my car, which is the stock radio, will say "TR 1" then after a few seconds of silance, the cd will come out and the screen says " ERR".

I have an older cd that I burned like 2 years ago, and those are all mp3 files, and it would play fine. Onther situation, was that I burned a cd 2 times, the second time deleting some few songs from the cd, thinking that one file was "curropted" which I think that was the solution, since after the 3rd being burned, it finally played on my car.

The strange thing is that the burned cd's that wont play on my car, will play fine on my sister's car (ford taurus) an my parents car (dodge intrepid).

I have had the car for about a year now, but my dad used to drive it all of the time, so, I did not notice this problem, since my dad listens to the radio and non-burned cd's.

Re: Strange CD problem

Sometimes burning the CD on a higher speed or using a low quality CD will cause problems. Use a high quality CD and burn it on the slowest setting.
