Sometime my car misses for some reason

Hello GOOD Folks !!
I have a 2002 Taurus with the Duretic engine with 43000 mi on the clock. When I turn on the AC, every once in a while I can feel the car missing as in not fireing on one cyclinder? It was only when I have the AC on when at a light at idle. Now every once in a while, with the AC off, I can feel the same miss?? I was wondering ( since I here so much about what the MAF ) senser does, If that Maybe that is my problem.
Thanks for any suggestions you guys may have?

Re: Sometime my car misses for some reason

I don't think the MAF would cause a misfire unless the MAF's intermittant. I'd look more at plug wires (or does your car have CoP?) and add a bottle of fuel injector cleaner to the tank.

If you have access to a scan tool that can read the component parameters, check them for misfire counts on the individual cylinders to see if one particular cylinder is reporting misfires.
