2002 kia rio bad belt squealing

I have an 2002 kia rio cinco 1.5l 4 cylinder. The car has a really bad belt squeal whenever i start the car, come to a stop, slow down, or turn on tha ac and its seems to last for a long time before going away. I've replaced the belts and alternator hoping the squealing would go away but it didn't and i dont know what to do. could someone please help me

u have change the fan belt and alternator,issit? if u dun mind,u can seek advise from this person,mr ng 96629356.

The belts (if in good shape) need to be dry and TIGHT!!!!. Almost like a guitar string. I mean stupid tight. Good luck

Take the belt off and spin the alternator by hand... These alternators have a habit of ceasing up, happened to me and many others... can actually kill your horsepower.

There was this device that would make adjusting the belts easier, but one of the bolts came off which eventually damaged the device. One day the fancy adjustment screw fell off and the battery died a few hours later.

A hardened metric bolt was then used to hold the alternator in. The adjustment had to be done with hand, screw wedge or a well positioned crowbar. The alternator belts have not given me any problems since.
