Where is the petcock? 92 ford taurus

Does it even have a radiator petcock? I know my 94 Taurus did. If the 92 Ford Taurus has it, I can't see it but, with my old eyes that might be understandable.

Can some assure me whether it has one or not and, if it does, where precisely is it?

Thanks,
Dave in NC

Re: Where is the petcock? 92 ford taurus

It should be located in the same place as your 94. I'm not sure if the radiator configurations are identical if you have different engines, but they should be the same if the engines are the same. I'd even guess the 3.8 and the 3.0 are the same, but I would suspect the 4 cylinder isn't. In any event, I'd expect and my book says, and my recollection all say the petcock is loacated at the right bottom of the radiator as you are facing the engine. I did notice it is somewhat concealed with the battery, hose and other things above it. It may be more visible and definitely easier to loosen from below, especially if it is stuck like mine always seem to get. Once loose, it can be opened and closed from above if you need to flush it, etc. A good light will help too.
