Question Cooling Fan Runs Constantly

2003 s-10 4.3l v-6. The cooling fan runs constantly except when engine is off. When the engine is off i can manually turn the fan it is firm not extra loose or grinding. Help!!!!!

Manual clutch or electric fengine cooling fan?

Maybe it's an electrical fault somewhere, you should have it checked out, just now the motor burns out.

Dealer or Most good repair shop have them.
Should have a stored code.
Post back code no.
But to be on safe side switch the fan relay with a known good one first.
And run your vin no for recalls and TSB on the problem.

Deffinately check the wiring... Cause its possible that the wiring has melted together somewhere.. Only if you wire it straight to the battery will it not shut off.
