Thinking of purchasing a 00-02 Xterra
I'm thinking about purchasing a 2000-2002 4WD Xterra. I have a couple questions for anyone out there who might be able to answer. Every xterra listing that is in my price range has about 90k to 105k miles. If I go to look at any of them, is there anything specific I should look for? Also will there need to be any major repairs for xterras with that many miles? Any input will help. Thanks.

Re: Thinking of purchasing a 00-02 Xterra
Find out if they've had the timing belt replaced, they're due at 105k.
Other things to look for are cracked exhaust manifolds (passenger side mainly), leaking rear crank seal, and any issues with first or third gear on the manual transmissions.

Rust is typical under the rear window around the wiper. Also, the gauges can be a bit tough to read in low light. Besides that... i'm loving my 02!!
