Concept Drawings

Hey folks, place your concept vehicles here. I wouldn't put any of your best work out here though, people do steal. So lets see how creative your minds are.

This is my latest concept. The Slingback.

I got the idea for this car by looking at a ladies shoe.

More to come soon

Hey, whats your problem? How is my comment offensive? Anyone else could agree that people do steal ideas. Thats why I stated that those who post in here should be watchful on what they post in this thread. And you called me a NOOB? Maybe your the offensive one. Maybe you shouldn't post here.

Anyway, I recommend that if wish to post your images; that you place transparent lettering of your name or your companies name like mine for example (GSAMAD: Graviline-Smith Automobile Manufacturers and Design)over your work so that it would make it more difficult for someone to take your ideas.

Re: Concept Drawings

ya dont just walk into a tight community like this and start throwing negative shit like that around. NooB, we are all aware. This forum has been here for years and it has done just fine without ur observations. So thank for not posting your best work. Thank you for the heads up. Because im not designer, nor a manufacturer I wasn't aware of the risks. And now I know what was wrong with ur concept. It wasnt ur best effort.

Ok... there is no need for all the conflict that you are causing; your behavior is highly disrespectful, unacceptable, and uncalled for. Now I came into this forum professionally to give car designers including myself to display some of their concept work, and to receive positive feedback from others.

You also continue to call me a NOOB. Yes, I am new to this forum, yet i still act more professionally then you; who should have actually welcomed me to this forum given your experience of being a part of it longer than I have. Now it is my intentions to end all the conflict that has been escalating between you and I by no longer bringing up this issue. So, let move on from this situation and proceed by staying with the original topic of this thread.

Re: Concept Drawings

Despite your best efforts to make light of your comment. You informed this forum that there were thieves in here. With 2 posts under your belt. And they were 2 almost identical threads. De Da Dee. You have every right to post in here. I cant stop that. And I wouldn't want to stifle another artist. Grow and flourish like so many talented people in here have, including myself. But please, keep your negative observations to a minimum. Oh and I tried to google your Company. And well, i was less than successful there. I mean you throw out some crazy warning in your first post. in a forum full of extremely talented artists. who come here to teach, learn and sometimes just to get away from it all. And at the bottom of your post it states that you are the "CEO" of a design/manufacturing firm/company. on the most powerful search engine in the world, the only link was to this thread and your myspace vid and a truckforum. I almost believed you might have a site where i could see some products. I wanted to put my foot in my mouth. I wanted to say this guy is in the industry. He must know what he is talking about. Im sure he has been ripped off. Did Ford steal The new Mustang designs from him? Is he battling with Foose over trade mark infringements? Oh i was so excited!

Yes, your not going to find my company on a website. Before the company was official, we used the truck forum to gather intel on what many truck owners loved and dis-liked about the vehicle they own so that we may proceed with designing a new truck that they could enjoy in the future. We originally used myspace as a website for our company; yet we later deemed it to be unprofessional by our standards. So we have taken the liberty to have our website professionally created and the url to that site will be gsamad_usa.com, expected completion time can only be estimated to late december to early january. You will then be able to view a some of our products.

To give you a little background information on Graviline-Smith Automobile Manufacturers and Design; it originally started off from a video game. Yes, a video game; a video game that the co-founder and I were attempting to create several years ago, similar to Rockstars Grand Theft Auto Series. As time went on, we began to design vehicles for the game, and many of the vehicles had gathered a lot of attention from those who saw the sketches of the games concept vehicles, which were all original and not based off real cars like those of Grand Theft Auto . Many could not wait to drive the vehicles not only in the game; but in real life. Others urged us to create the vehicles in real life rather then placing them in a game were they would become wasted works of art. The co-founder and I agreed and we decide to take the effort to attempt to turn the concepts into real vehicles, thus giving birth to Graviline-Smith Automobile Manufacturers and Design "Group". This "Group" consisted of young talented young men who are very skilled at the art they create, and specialize this talent in automobile design and are very passionate about vehicles as I am. Together, we are trading skills and techniques, providing guidance on car design for those wishing to be a part of the industry, and also working together to create concept vehicles; some of the aspects of this company that many other major automobile manufacturers do not do.

Dispite nearly 8 years of past working experience on creating concept vehicles, it was only about 2 years ago that we decided to turn the group into a functioning company. It ran unofficially until about two months ago, were we became official and are making a all out effort to have some of our concepts turned into real vehicles.

In regards to my statement about those who steal ideas; I apologize for offending you or any others in anyway. I must state I could have re-worded my statement. I am looking forward to starting on new terms with you and hope that we can place our past conflicts behind us and enjoy our time here on Automotive Forums

I hope that this has cleared up any confusion you may of had. If you have any futher questions, please; feel free to email me anytime.

Come on dude, get rid of your paranoia and start all over again wit a new user name, not anyone will take you serious. I don't want to offend you but your drawing is not professional. Wake up. You'll earn respect with your artwork, not with that cheap CEO-story - is the company in your dads garage?

Take a new attempt, we're always very happy to welcome new artists around here.

LoL. I actually laughed out loud. I mean We all have the Dream. Draw a car/truck . Improve on it. Now were designing. I have a DBA. Hey if he has the funds to design a truck and manufacture it. All the power to ya. But, does he understand drawing an original truck concept in his bedroom doesnt make him a designer/manufacturer. It makes him a kid with a dream pretending to have a buisness with his friends. And thats super! hes young he has the world at his feet. I hope some day he does achieve this. But i find it hard to believe that were gonna see the "Dragonheart" In Motor Trend's January 09 issue. Ive Spent too much time on this. Take knightvision's advice. Start new. Wait a few days make a new account. Come back with ur drawings and no 1 will b the wiser.

No offense taken. However I will not start over with a new username and will not be intimidated by those who wish to speak in a negative way of me or my company; by trying to exposing the status of it by placing images on the web of my company being a home business, or saying that I gave a cheap CEO story, or calling a ten minute sketch I drew unprofessional.

Yes, my company is located at my house. As of now it is a home business. I dont need a large office building at the moment. My operations are running just fine here at my house.

I can only assume that many of you were thinking that when I said I was CEO you would be expecting a older man dressed in a two piece suit puffing on a cigar, and would expect my company to be a large scale auto manufacturing operation equipped with factories and large office buildings. That just simply is not the case as of now. This company is still new and like I stated before, we are attempting to get the ball rolling on producing concept vehicles on a larger scale, it may take a few months, or maybe a few years.

Now you can either applaud the fact that I'm doing something with my life by pursuing my career goals or laugh in my face; you can either support my efforts or try to destroy them; either way, I will be successful.

I'm working on a sketch of a remake of the '78 Corvette. Hey maybe that could be a challege? Why don't you guys try to remake a newer Corvette based on an older model; then we can post them on here to see who can come up with the best concept? I'll make a new Thread...

Hey i respect u wanting to b a designer. And this is soooo not the forum to debate whether u r or r not. But it twists my tit to read that u are an automobile manufacturer. This would mean that u have manufactured an automobile would it not? And why do i care. Be honest to the forum. U can tell every1 in ur highschool that u are the CEO of Graviline-Smith Automobile Manufacturers and Design. Does any 1 in ur Company including yourself, Weld? Have any Cad expirience? Have any Modeling/clay expirience. Besides some video game designing and or Drawing have you used any other design software or have you any drafting expirience? Do you have any type of model in the works? or is it strictly on paper? Im interested now. Im a welder, I have a CNC/CAD/CAM programing certificate. I am a mechanic. Im not the best. I have alot 2 learn. But i know my way around engines and have the tools and paycheck to prove it. I am an autobody tech. I was accepted to the Art Institute of Chicago, But I passed. Despite all this I dont consider myself a manufacturer of automobiles. That would be crazy. When I think CEO its not of A cigar toting 2 peice suit wearing old guy. Thats your dream. I will let it go. Its clearly my problem with you not you with me.

Re: Concept Drawings

I think the problem is me and Girlbear can't really figure out who or what you are.

Being serious with your "10 min sketch" is like making fun of us around here. I am not a designer. Girlbear isn't. I am actually currently applying for a Transportation Design school. We're working more or less hard and spending a lot of time and money to get better, to become more professional, more skilled. Now you come around and say you're designing cars for real?
Your drawing skills are on a level of a... umm... 16 year-old. Maybe you're 13, then see this as a compliment.

If I was wrong, show us what you got. But don't forget the watermark.
