Another Fuel/Bad pump?/no start issue
Greetings,
My first post comes at a time where i absolutely need some advise. I own a 2000 Yukon with 93000 miles. This morning i noticed some hesitation/misfiring issues while i was driving partial throttle ~50mph. I originally thought it was transmission/ignition related. After some research i'm lead to believe its the Fuel Pump. The truck struggles to start but finally does after a couple times. It stays running for a ~1 min and then stalls. When i push the throttle is misfires, as if no gas is getting to the engine. what software can i use to check for codes and/or readings? I've already replaced the Fuel Pressure Regulator but still the same happens. Thanks for the help! |

Re: Another Fuel/Bad pump?/no start issue
Welcome to AF, first thing to do is get a FP gage on it and look for 58-62 psi.

Quote:
What was wrong with the FPR? Gas leaking behind the diaphragm in the FPR? Gas in the vacuum line to the FPR? Or was it the spring in the FPR weak didn't hold necessary pressure? Gotta' do diagnostics before buyin' parts!!! It's FREE. |
