I think he's talking about the hobbiest snobs. I know the type he's talking about. My sister took my best cutting horse, a 16 hand Appalosa, and showed up the snobs by winning the state open hunt and jump 4 years in a row. They never did accept her as one of them, but one offered me $5,000 for the horse. I think it was more to get rid of us then that he really wanted the horse.
With the price of hay about $200 a ton, I've noticed a lot of hobby horses up for sale lately.

I have an entire 81 of those there horses under the hood of my civic... and still somehow i believe you'd beat me in a race on that there horsey of yours.
