are you saying you need new wiper blades? or where the spray comes out on wiper? my 93 potiac skylark GS has that hook to wiper blade..take it to auto zone if they don't have it they can tell you what it is for free.

this thing is attached to the wiper arm by two screws and this is what the pin that goes from the wiper blade goes in to hold it to the arm.it doesn't come with a new blade as i have put new blades on before , might come with a new arm.but don't see sense in buying whole arm to get it

Re: what's the little plastic thing on the end of the wiper arm?

While I can't claim to be an expert, I have actually worked for a windshield wiper manufacturer.

There are a few different styles of connections that came before the standard "hook" style...the "pin" and the "bayonet" type.

The pin style has a big metal stud with a rounded end that sticks out 90° from the arm. The blade has a big hole that the pin fits through.

What I believe you have described is a screwed on bayonet style. This is basically a straight wiper arm tip with a raised nub and two screw holes. What you need is the wiper arm bayonet adapter.

I'm not sure that will be an OEM part, but some replacement wiper blades do come with new adapters (TRICO "Exact Fit" comes to mind, though it's name is a misnomer), though not necessarily to convert from bayonet to pin. Most adapters will adapt to the standard hook style nowadays. Hope this helps!
