any one know if the newer 305 have roller lifters

i think they do i know my jimmy did but i found that out when i removed the intake do replace the intake manifold gaskets i don't want to do that for my beast unless i have to

reason i'm asking is i plan on doing a few things to my engine and if it has roller lifters i'll go all the way with it if not, just a throttle body spacer and new timing chain

if so CraneCams computer compatable cam, new lifters, port & polish heads/intake, roller lifters, double roller timing chain and a new set of headers with dual exaust w/ "x"-pipe emissions legeality and will help with scavenging
spent fumes out ot the cylinders

i'm not building my engine for power just the lowest internal friction i can get and as much volumemetric effeciency i can pull out of it

more MPGs longer life and being able to spank my buddy chris's 'vette would be nice also (we can dream can't we?)

i know it seems like alot for a 305 but i like building cars that wouldn't be thought of twice about it kinda like my 1991 Camaro RS 3.1 V6 5 speed manual turbo charged 325 wheel hp small engine ALOT of go then it got stolen and i havent seen him since ( manual trans, hence him, put it together lol)

Passenger car engines have had roller lifters since the beginning of the 1987 MY. Truck engines got them in the mid 90s.
