91 corsica problem

the car runs and drives fine, but heres the problem. when coming to a complete stop sometimes the car will shut off it could be warm or getting warm but it will shut off, start right back up and go, i thought this could be the tcc so i unplugged it and drove it and it sometimes does it but not as much. do i have to disconect the battery after doing this? please help, i dont have no check engine lights and ive checked, the wires, ignition module, coil packs. and a few other things.

Re: 91 corsica problem

No you would not need to unhook battery. If the TCC is the problem that would solve it right away...in fact the tcc will cause the car to stall when in gear and the car would re start in park but stall as soon as put into gear. If it is simply stalling I would check the vacuum lines for cracks, intake hose (for splits in rubber hose), clean the IAC and surrounding area, tune it up and run some throttle body cleaner in it as you might have a weak injector. Not sure what else to advise you.

Re: 91 corsica problem

Possibly not good fuel vaporization. On a '91, fuel pressure should be checked, and vacuum leaks could also contribute to this.

How does it idle when warm? Any loping?
