97 Suburban - shock recommendation

1997 1/2 ton 4x4 Suburban with 350 Vortec.

This is family hauler and not really an off-road vehicle. It does see snow on occasion though. Looking for a nice comfortable shock. I am mostly wondering if there is a need to spend the $50/shock vs. the $20/shock. Is there a noticeable difference or is it hype.

I know this is a topic that will be somewhat personal, but wanted to see if there was a consensus out there on a good one.

Thanks all...

Well after hearing the sound of crickets ( ;-) ), I decided to try out the best model Gabriels. I will let you how I like them later today after I install them.
