97 Corolla keyfob programming
My old keyfob still works but is breaking apart, so I got two new ones from the aftermarket. My ECU is RS 3000. When I press and hold the ECU programming swith for 3 seconds, the LED red light comes on. Then I release the ECU switch and have 5 seconds in which to push the top button on each of my two new keyfobs. The red light is supposed to go off and a "chirp" is supposed to sound and the exterior lights should flash once. Then I am to turn off the ignition. Then the new keyfobs should work.
I have tried this 14 times. Now, neither the old or the two new keyfobs will work. I have un-programmed the old one and failed to program the two new ones.
Any suggestions as to what I can do will be appreciated. Thanks.
