New engine for 01 Grand Am GT

After tearing my engine down trying to find the cause of several noises, it looks like I may need a new engine. No smoking gun as to why or where the noise is coming from. Current 3.4 has 150K+ miles. Anyone know of a trustworthy place to buy a new/used engine? I live in NY. Thanks!

Well there are always salvage yards. Started making some phone calls and see if they have any 3.4s lying around. Got a great deal on my father's replacement engine for his Infinity

If you tend to keep the car,go with a reman engine which has a better warranty. An used engine has a least 30 to 90 day warranty on it.Jasper is the best for a reman engine with a 3 year, 100,000 mile warranty. The auto parts stores remans are to stay away from, use the cheapest parts with a warranty that sucks and you have to take it to one of their places for warranty work.
