Re: First P11 real pics

So all those rumours about it being completely redesigned are nonsense! It looks just like all the other pics that have done the rounds.

Edit to add.

Looks quite big for a 2 seater. Maybe even bigger than a F430 or Gallardo! When Gordon Murray left did he take his scales as well!

Re: First P11 real pics

Well I guess these pics should be of the same model?

Pics were taken in Arvidsjaur in the north of Sweden. From the plate you can tell that the car is on temp. registration and the info from the Transportboard is this:

(I translated the info.)

Regnr: TFM853
Brand: MCLAREN PROTOTYPE
Colour: Dark red
Type of vehicle: Car
Chassisnumber: SBMCC4AC69399XP07

Owner/User
Name: MCLAREN AUTOMOTIVE LTD
Address: ICEMAKERS MASKINVÄGEN 11
Postcode: 930 90
Date of registration: 2009-01-27
City: ARJEPLOG

What is interesting is that the car is apparently dark red! A bit hard to see...
And I had no idea that McLaren had an address in Arjeplog but hey, you learn something new every day I guess.

I guess we can see from the chassis number that it´s XP07. Can´t see any reference to P11 in there but I guess it doesn´t mean anything.

/P

Re: First P11 real pics

Good find!

Still not convinced about the rear of the car. Particularly that lower centre rear section or the way the line drops from the rear "hips" as it goes over the back of the car. Bit square which doesn't fit with the rest of the car IMO.

Re: First P11 real pics

Thats a good looking car but it looks a little bigger than the F1. They should have kept the seating as the original F1 too. Without the driver seat in the middle it just wouldnt feel like a mclaren
