Help! My 1996 Olds 98 dies while going down the road.

My car dies whether I'm at a stop or accelerating. I have replaced the air filter, plug wires, fuel filter, and catalytic converter. Coil pack has been checked and there's nothing wrong with it. The car does fine for 10+ miles but then it starts to idle rough then die. I put it in neutral and start it right up but when I am going up a hill and it dies, after it starts it will not pull itself up the hill so I have to pull over and let it sit for a while.

Welcome to AF, get a fuel pressure gage on it and see what you have when this occurs, some type of diagnostics is in order here.

If fuel pressure checks ok, hook it up to a live data scanner, it may point you in the right direction.

Just found out that it is the Oxygen sensor! I am getting it replaced tomorrow. Strange thing, this car has 2! And if that doesn't fix the problem, I found a sweet Nissan Pathfinder at a really good price! Thanks for the responses!
