Tranfer Case

Is there a chain in my tranfer case? i have a 2000 sonoma highrider. if there is could there be slack in it causing a band when i shift to drive from reverse. Its the 233 case.

Yes,
The chain pulls the 4W front shaft only.

Does it do it in 2W or 4WH and 4WL or all?
What is the engine idle rpm in neural and park and drive and reverse?
U joints and rear end and engine/transmission mounts good?

thats prolly a good point the tranny moves a lot when i do this. could there b a bad mount causin that?
