I'm baacckkk.....had some

work done on my computer a few months or so back and forgot/lost all my passwords. Honestly haven't looked on this board for a great time either, as there for quite a while it was very slow...also have had a lot going on and couldn't keep up with all the different boards/forums.

I'm back though...hopefully can shed light where ever it's needed.

Re: I'm baacckkk.....had some

Every once in awhile I still give this page a look.

Ramblin': I just got some KC fogs for my Jeep. What KC fogs do you have on the Rodeo and how was the install?

Re: I'm baacckkk.....had some

Shoot, don't remember the part#, but they are the 5x7" square that came with 3 sets of lenses, clear fog, Amber, driving lenses got them from JC Whitney. Have the same product on all 3 trucks, they are fantastic, paid $100/set

The install on the Rodeo was easy, the install on the Toyota was a nightmare, the Dodge gave me such a fit with the bull-bar before even mounting it's lights that I don't remember the level of difficulty on it's lights.

Thanks! You just posted a couple of pics on the Zoo in a rear main thread, but I didn't want to jack that thread for a front view. I'm thinking about some fogs for the Rodeo if it doesn't get too involved. The Jeep install was really plug and play.

Re: I'm baacckkk.....had some

I DO have to say, if you drive this Rodeo at ALL at night I'm sure you're well aware of the horrible quality of it's stock headlights, even if you buy the Silverstars and put them in, the Rodeo's lights still are not the greatest.

Adding the fog lights actually made driving the Rodeo at night FUN....seriously, I can SEE very clearly with them now, I've always used the amber fog lenses and even on a clear night they really help light up the road.

I have had some people comment that they think it's all hype that I use them on a clear night, but they don't understand the horrible visible quality of just the headlights alone.

We'd all but given up driving this truck at night cause the visibilty was just so bad, around here we don't live in well lit areas.

Trust me, it's WELL worth the effort putting them in. I honestly believe this is the BEST upgrade we've ever done on any vehicle.

I can get you more pics of how I ran the wires and such this weekend if need be.

Re: I'm baacckkk.....had some

I won't trouble you for that now. You know I never liked the stock headlights, but I never upgraded them. Now that my daughter drives it, for the most part, I've forgotten about that. Eh, gonna have to install some fogs...for her safety, of course!

Re: I'm baacckkk.....had some

I got the 2x6 version of the same ones RF has to use in my bumper. I didnt buy the whole kit though, just the lights by themselves. Not going to be as easy of an install as I thought. I'm going to have to figure out new mounting brackets and the fit is really tight so alignment is going to have to be pretty much right on from the start since there wont be room to twist and bend for adjustment.

Re: I'm baacckkk.....had some

Didn't even know you were gone RF.

I just figured most of you guys just moved to the other site permanently so I haven't logged on much.

FOGS:

The OEM fogs suck just as bad as the headlights. I'd get better visbility using a candle. I wonder if anyone makes fogs to fit in the OEM spot?

Re: I'm baacckkk.....had some

I hadn't posted on this board since June. Actually it was so slow that I didn't even fret with it.

Finding a set/size to fit in your oem slot may not come as easy as you're hoping. I never could find a good set that would fit in my Dodge Diesel's oem slots without going bankrupt, and when I could find them, they weren't very good quality.

I just got the KC 26 series lights installed after work y'day. They fit but need some creativity to mount since they are a tight fit.
