2001 Windstar blows #14 fuse shifting into/through reverse
My wife's Windstar intermittently blows the #14 fuse when shifting into or through reverse.
It will go for weeks sometimes with out blowing the fuse, and sometimes, like tonite, will blow the fuse on the first shift after changing it.
When the fuse is blown, the O/D cancel won't work, the sliding door lockout switch on the overhead console won't work, the compass shows "ERR" on the info display, the auto dim feature on the rear view mirror quits and the auto headlights will be on all the time.
I tried unplugging the harness to the rear view mirror thinking that may be the culprit, but it made no difference.
That's the only thing I could think of that the manual says is on that fuse that has anything to do with reverse....
Any suggestions?
