Re: WIP Ferrari F430

Hi,
pardon me to ask, what stage of painting are you in right now?
if it's before gloss coat...i suggest you solve those uneven tones on the color first. i can see some runs & texture on the paintwork, you have to settle this issue first as the gloss will not dcover them up & makes them more obvious later.

if this is already glossed up...humm, i think the gloss is a little on the thin side.

let me know...

cheers!

Re: WIP Ferrari F430

No runs at all just needs to be polished out. The uneven color is from the sun hiding and then coming out. Trust me no runs at all

Re: WIP Ferrari F430

Did a little polishing tonight got rid of most of the orange peel, some spots are just to tricky to get in to. I will take some pics tomorrow and post them.

Re: WIP Ferrari F430

hey scamp...thanks for the pics....normally, my models would look like what yours look like in the first pics....i tried polishing it too, but it does NOT turn out like what yours look like on the 2nd set of pics....i'm using either Tamiya fine polish, or the Meguiars scratch x....

i try polishing it, and the body turns really dull as i'm polishing it...is that supposed to happen before it gets shiny?

I used 1500 on this one but usually use 2000 grit wet. Then I use the Tamiya fine and then finish and done.
