01 ford taurus gas gague not working...
help please i have a 01 ford taurus and my gas gague doesnt work... it moves but never actually is correct. also when i get gas sometimes it takes forever to fill up...for instants.. the gas pump clicks off when its not even full....?? any ideas...thanks, *T*

Welcome to the forum!
The fuel level sender is part of the fuel pump assembly in the fuel tank. Is this a Flexible Fuel Vehicle (FFV) or just a regular Taurus? There are some extra components between the fuel pump and the gauge on the FFV Taurus. The slow to fill could be due to the purge valve for the fuel tank. Have you had the codes scanned to see if there is a code related to the purge system? Yes, it could have a code or more even if the check engine light is not illuminated. -Rod
