Re: Ford Ranger Heater Core Replacement

I just got done doing my 94 and it was very easy. I think the 95 requires the dash removal. For mine, I removed the glove compartment and the two screws on the bottom of a plastic box type assembly which is the container for the heater core and there it was. You naturally have to drain some radiator fluid out before removing the heater hoses on the firewall in the engine compartment, etc

BTW I checked for the best price on the heater core on eBay and finally decided on a plastic model they wanted about $65 for. Just for the heck of it I tried autozone and they wanted $22, had it in stock and if remember right was even able to see the parts explosion on their computer. I think it also has a 2 or 3 year warranty too!

Long story short, it was one of the easiest things I have done on a car and I fretted for months about how hard it might be.

Hope that helps
Chuck
