Finisher's compound?
I'm thinking about buying a new batch of polishing compounds, that's why I ask your opinion.
How does Finisher's compound fare compared to Tamiya and Gunze compounds? Does the compound set components contain as much of each type (Hard, Fine, Micro) as if you buy them individually? Also, did anyone use Gunze Mr.Hi-Coating? Is it worth the investing in it? Thanks in advance. |

Re: Finisher's compound?
For me the Finishers compound is the best stuff you can get, way better than Tamiya!
The hard compound lets you even remove light orange peel and followed by the other 2 types you get a pretty much perfect surface. |

There are many compunds out there and you just have to find the one that suits you the best If you are happy with the Tamiya compund and get excellent results then there is of course no reason for you to try anything different...

The Tam Finish-grade is pretty expensive and doesn't have much "body"; so I'd be tempted to try the Finishers if it's cheaper. Next time I build a car that needs a super-bright shine, I'll compare them at my LHS. Ddms |
