Driver door lights

Can someone tell me if all the switches for the window control on a 02 GT should have backlights? I noticed last night that only the door lock button lit up. I couldn't remember if they lit up or not. I took that control apart not all that long ago and was thinking I remembered seeing a red led bulb inside the assembly. Everything works so I'm not really sure if I will replace the bulb but I wanted to know. Also do the rear window switches light up on the rear doors?

Re: Driver door lights

Anybody? I've been waiting for some input on this also. My door control also lights up but don't think the rest do....

Re: Driver door lights

yeah, all the lights should light up. prolly just have a few bulbs out...you can replace them all pretty easy. i would recommend replacing them all once your in there though...or else you will be chasing bulbs that keep going out

Re: Driver door lights

Thanks GrandPrixGTX00. Any idea the bulb part numbers? Are they just twist and pull or is there soldering that needs to be done? I haven't had a chance to pull the switch and check...

Re: Driver door lights

Figured it out by taking apart the passenger side switches and just followed some directions from the "steering wheel radio control switch lights" in "tips and maintenance'". Went to Radio Shack and picked up part number 272-1092 12 volt bulbs, wire terminal base, for under two bucks. Removed the defective bulbs and re-soldered and lights up like new...
