Disabling Desktop Panning

This thread is primarily for google searches, for people wanting to DISABLE DESKTOP PAN/PANNING ATI GRAPHICS CARD DRIVERS MONITOR

This took me FOREVER to get, there is not ONE thread EVER on the topic, so here I go. There are a million threads on people asking this, but not ONE answer.

I came back to my computer, and my 22" LCD had expanded the desktop beyond the monitor size and forced PAN. This is annoying.

This is how you fix it.

Open Catalyst Control Center, Advanced.

If you have two monitors, chose the monitor that is affected by Panning:

Under Monitor Properties 0 (for primary monitor, or 1 for secondary monitor) bring the drop menu down, you will see FOUR (4) options. Click on "attributes".

Down the bottom is a check box, uncheck it, and set it to the resolution you want, this does not set your new resolution.

Click apply.

Go into your desktop settings, and put your resolution back up to what it was, before Pan rocked up.

Hopes this helps anyone who found this thread on google. I know your pain.
