Question Looking for a new car...

Well, I got my first car, and those of you who know me might think it's my mom's Fiero GT. Unfortunately, it's not... It's a '94 Subaru Loyale wagon hand-me-down from Gramps. It's a car that runs well, can do what I need it to do, but I see it as temporary. It's not a car I like too much, honestly.

I've been weighing my options, and two cars emerge from the semi-finals. These would be a 1990+ Nissan (Fairlady) 300ZX or a 1988 Pontiac Fiero GT. I'm already being raped over insurance costs, as I'm only 15 years old. Hell, my current insurance rates are around $800 every 6 months. Fuel economy is also a concern. We can handle most repairs and upgrades at home, but anything major may be done outside. Also, drivability may play a factor as I live in southern Idaho.

I'd like for the Zed to have a T-top, be a two-seater, and have twin turbos, in order of preference. However, I've heard it's not as "safe" as the Fiero. However, a pro is the tunability and customization is slightly better that the Fiero.

The Fiero GT is a more rare car, and I'd definetly want an '88. I could settle for another '86+ Fiero GT, but not without a fight. The Fiero is quite unique, but the initial cost may be higher than what I'd like to see. I'm working at McDonald's, after all...

I can drive a manual transmission, if that affects your advice at all.

So, which car would be the most practical for me? I wouldn't purchase this new car immediately, but I really want something more fun to drive. Which would be most cost-effective? I'm a safe driver, with a B+ average for the insurance company to know. Let me know whatcha think!
