Trip-clutch and double clutch...what are they?

I heard about trip clutching and double ctutching, but what does it mean and what does it do?

When you do it its tight though i can tell you that....you like chirp in the middle of your gear then ya get like a boost, do it right before the VTEC kicks in and u take off!!!

Double clutching while upshifting in most modern synchronized transmissions is pretty much useless. It is a lot more useful in race cars(and the few insane people like me who would drive a dog box on the street). If you don't have a dog box(if you have to ask what it is, you probably don't have one), you don't need to worry about double clutching, especially when racing in a straight line.

il glad im not the only one who didnt know what that was, but i do know anyways, i have a similar question. what is "power shifting"? thats what i friend of mine calls it anyways. he took me out driving in his car and he would floor it and never let up, even when shifting. is there some skill to this im not seeing or do you just have to shift really fast?

on street with a typical street car it is best just to stick with the standard shift maybe use a few tricks but nothin thats bad on your transmission which most of the things mentioned in here are

I have a friend that can shift gears sometimes without even pushing the clutch. . I drove his car once and it is true but I can only get it to work for downshifting, never upshifting. How does that happen?
