Airbag light?
I have a 97 XJ. My airbag light is on and won't turn off. I imagine when I tore my dash apart last year for some A/C work, I triggered this to happen. I have tried to reset it at Midas but it didn't take. They wanted to diagnose it by taking me to the poor house. Naturally, I like to do things myself before sending the work out. Does anyone have insight on why it would be on or what I can do about it?

Re: Airbag light?
I'd think that a connection under the dash isn't connected; you will likely have to take the dash out, and make sure it's reconnected.

Re: Airbag light?
You are probably right about a bad connection. I am kind of concerned that it might be a mechanical error in the steering column (I have no reason to think this, but just do). When pulling out the dash to check the connections, should I pull the whole thing out like before or can I access all the necessary connection points by removing only some of the plastic?

Re: Airbag light?
I'd be looking at what you worked on earlier....if it's just a couple panels to remove to get at everything, then there's no need to take the entire dash out.
