528i Radio dead, airbag indicator on

Just started my car after dropping off the boy at school this morning. Now The radio is dead and i have a red airbag indicator on. Thinking this must be related somehow. Can anyone advise where to start looking to resolve this could it be a fuse, or does it sound expensive to fix.
Any help appreciated

Re: 528i Radio dead, airbag indicator on

Ok. No Idea what's going on here. I fixed this by dropping the sunvisior and opening the cover on the vanity mirror the light came on the mirror and then the radio started and the airbag light went off. All was well on my drive home. Got in the car this morning all ok. Stopped for petrol and set off again the radio was dead and the airbag light was on dimly did the visor trick again and all is ok again. Anyone any ideas. There is obviously still something not quite right there.

What you have there is faulty ignition switch.
Wiggle the engine start key and your radio should work.

Only way to fix it permantely is to replace the ignition switch
