modify the van

Has anyone customized their van? Tires/wheels.....lowering.....exhaust....
Would like to know, I would like to do something to mine. It's been and still is a good useful ride. I was told that the wheel size could be up to 17x8.

Thanks for the info

Re: modify the van

I haven't done anything to mine, but I would also like to know if there is any place out there that sells more sportier suspension pieces, or performance parts for these vans. I've looked for some, but can't seem to find any.

Re: modify the van

I can't find anything either. The only thing I've done is to remove all the decals except half the side stripe. I have the honeycomb wheels and found a powder coating co. that would sand blast and powdercoat for 50 a wheel. Put on ceramic pads on the front, easier to keep clean. I think all I can do is keep asking. Thought about getting some white film from a sign co. and cover the rear side windows. You can see out but not in very well.

Re: modify the van

I don't really think there is enough of a market or interest to justify a company to produce and sell aftermarket parts for these vans. If you really think about it the same holds true for Dodge/Chrysler minivans as well as Fords, Hondas, and Toyotas (etc.) These vehicles are mainly "people haulers", or "weekend project haulers", owned by the 30+ crowd who tend to be less probable to do much extra of anything to these vehicles. We are left to make our own modifications, or "borrow" or modify items meant for other vehicles to be used on our own.
