Spoon Sports 96-98 EK9 Civic Type R

Built this kit to get back into the mood of building. Not too disappointed with how it came out although it came out a bit rough on the edges. I was in a slight rush to finish it in order to bring it to a car meet to show my friends. It shows in some parts, for example on the rear glass where the glue dripped right down the glass I had a little problem laying clear on the duckbill so i left the duckbill as dry carbon or should i say faded clear? hehe. Well without further a due, here is my silver Spoon EK9.

Joeham I Love it, looks great the silver seems to change in every picture COOL. I always enjoy your builds especially your little attention to the wheels (no center caps) and the correction of Fujimi's horrible SWs. Thanks for sharing man!

Seems like you haven't lost your touch. One thing i can see is the trim could be a little neater, other than that its great. I think its time for you to build something other than a HondA!!

Re: Spoon Sports 96-98 EK9 Civic Type R

Thanks alot guys, I really appreciate it. I'm still a little rough here and there, but hopefully after 1 or two more models i'll get to my old standards LoL. This model was built to "spark" up my interests in models again. Hopefully i'll be sharing more with you guys soon!

BTW: I'll build another car other than a Honda in the future. I like the Golf I kit, Aoshima S13 is nice, and AE86.

Eh...hondas..lol. Looks great Joeham!! Makes me want to actually start working on my piles of neatly formed plastic. Too bad about the back glass. How did you tint the glass anyway? Keep up the great work dude!

Lol thanks Frank! Build man! I wish i had time right now to build. I tinted the rear glass by painting the inside of the glass black LOL. Very lame since it's impossible to see through but I had no other way to do the rear tint the CTR's come with.

That's fantastic, I love the overall look, esp the color and the panel lines. I think you can do better with the window trim next time, but hey, overall it's a beauty.

Looks great! The paint is AMAZING. I really love how you fixed the wheels and made them look spot on. I tried the same thing and messed mine up... Glad to see you around again and I can't wait to see what you've got coming down the pipe next. I know, though, what you mean about not having enough time. Great work, Joeham, I love it.
