Angry Brake Problems!!!!!

Have a 1998 Venture van, the brakes shake severely when pressure is applied. We fixed the brake lines, brake pads, rotors (each where warped) the ones on it now have been machined down, and they bleed them. We know the tires are bad but not severe and the struts need fixed but the shake doesn't seem to be that. Can anyone help???

Re: Brake Problems!!!!!

Did you (they) check the runout of the rotors after they were machined and reinstalled? It is highly possible and highly probable that the hub itself has some run-out. Check the run-out on the rotors installed on the vehicle. If there is excessive runout (>.002") you will feel it in the pedal and the steering. You may be able to correct the run-out by rotating the rotor to a different position on the hub or you can get shims that will correct run-out up to about .009".
