Have you checked for any codes using the key dance? on/off, on/off, on within 5 seconds without starting engine. Check engine should flash showing codes. Example flash pause flash, flash means code 12. Post any codes.

It could be a varaity of parts failing. I would check coils. Take a hair dryer and apply heat to the coils with the engine cold and see how it runs then, if engine misses cold then you may have pin pointed to the coils.

Possibility of camshaft and crankshaft sensors also but start by checking coils.

Hope this helps

Re: 95 caravan runs bad when warm

If the coil is good consider a new upstream O2 sensor. It's a major component used by the computer (PCM) to calculate air/fuel mixture ratio and fuel injector pulse width. Both will effect acceleration and ignition. When it's cold the engine uses a set parameter to keep the engine running until the O2 sensors heat up. It's called "open loop". Once the sensor heats up the engine starts "closed loop" operation and uses O2 sensor data in it's calculations. You may see a mpg boost with a new sensor. They cost from $60 to $100.

There is a consensus forming in the industry that O2 sensors should become a scheduled change item. They recommend for a van your age every 80k miles. I'm not sure if I would go that far but, if you've got over 100K miles it may not be a bad idea, especially the upstream sensor.
