2000 Blazer Thermostat Replacement

Get n reeady to change out the ol' thermostat on my Blazer. Any heads up with this task. I have not changed A thermostat out before on a newer model and saw there was a big difference in the housing than with older models.

4.3 V6?
Should be about the same as older models.
Newer ones use a rubber seal instead of gasket.

Also a good time to flush and replace engine coolant and check rad cap.

Re: 2000 Blazer Thermostat Replacement

Does the box have any wires running to it?
The stat will be under the housing.
Pull the housing and.
Just put the new one back in like the old one came out.
Good Luck
