PLEASE -I need your input to solve a debate

I had a debate with a close friend over whom is right or wrong , we decided with the answers you hopefully will provide in this thread will be the judge as to whom is right.

2 Cars same model and options except for year, both excellent same condition, only difference is miles, which would be your choice if you were to buy ? and why ?

Both vehicle's same sticker price

2002 Ford Taurus with 25,000 miles/40,000 Km
2005 Ford Taurus with 55,000 miles/88,000 Km

Lightbulb Re: PLEASE -I need your input to solve a debate

That is a difficult question, I normaly don't fret much about mileage its more about price to me. But in this case I might go for the newer car with the miles. Due to the fact that it most likely has been utilized on the highway more than around town. The 02 was either a short commuter car or alot of stop and go traffic which is very hard on the engine and drivetrain or owned by the little old lady from pasedina .. only drove it on sundays to the market.

difficult choice either way.

Hey corbinse , I am happy someone stepped to the plate with an answer.

I lost my bet and will now have to provide all the beer and chicken wings my buddy can consume at the local watering hole, at around 300lb with an empty stomach, my credit card could get maxed out thanks to you...
