Check the thermostat to make sure that it's not stuck or broken. Also make sure you have coolant in the tank.

Ok, I will do that. But wouldn't the engine overheat if the thermostat was stuck and there wasn't coolant in it?

Re: 96` no heat....

If the thermostat was stuck OPEN it would constantly allow collant in the engine causing it to never heat up, and you need the engine to heat up in order to produce heat. Id check to thermostat or just replace it if you dont know how, there cheap anyway.

He is correct. Mine broke in the winter a couple years back and the engine never heated up to normal operating temp. The heater blew cold air, and the car ran like shit, not to mentioned destroyed my fuel economy. It's was a brutal winter too.

Check the fluid and the coolant still... make sure all is good. If they are, then it could be your heater core or something else.
